This is the kick-off event of the Designscapes “un-conference”. The 4-year long project has funded 99 pilot initiatives of Design enabled Innovation in Urban Environments coming from all over Europe. In this first session we would like to familiarise the audience with the call for pilots and its results – which in our opinion add original meanings and proposals to the New European Bauhaus initiative as well as to the prospective EIT KIC on Culture and Creativity.
We will also present in detail the schedule of forthcoming events in this “un-conference”.
Our speakers
| Francesco Molinari is an international researcher and policy advisor with a 20-years working experience in R&D and innovation projects and programmes at European, national and regional levels – notably on such topics as eParticipation, eGovernment and Smart Cities. Formerly he has been engaged for about 12 years in territorial marketing and the delivery of financial services to SMEs – including support to EU grants access for their green and brown field investments. For 5 years he has served in a top managerial position at a middle-sized Municipality in Italy. He holds a track record of successful collaborations with local/regional authorities and ministries on such topics as Pre-Commercial Public Procurement, Living Labs and Smart Specialisation. | |
| Besnik Mehmeti has a distinguished expertise and a winning track record in securing and managing EU funded projects. He provides strategic advisory and funding opportunities to local and regional administrators, communities and businesses. His core areas are the promotion of innovation, technological development, entrepreneurship, creative and cultural industries. His ability to master complex and multilateral partnerships and initiatives led to the successful development and implementation of several innovative actions and partnerships at local and regional level. | |
